Diane Smith-Gander AO was appointed non-executive chair of Zip Co Limited in February 2021. She is also a non-executive director of AGL Energy Limited, HBF Health Limited, airport operator NQA and Keystart Loans group. Diane also chairs the member body for Safe Work Australia, chairs the Committee for the Economic Development of Australia (CEDA), the Business School Advisory Board for the University of Western Australia (UWA) and Deputy Chair of the Council for Methodist Ladies’ College (MLC). Diane is an advocate for gender equity and a past president of CEW, Australia’s pre-eminent women’s advocacy group which counts more than 500 of Australia’s senior female leaders as its members. She holds an MBA from the University of Sydney and a BEc from UWA.
Pippa is a professional company director who has held executive and non- executive roles across listed, not-for-profit and government enterprises. She brings significant experience in international banking and capital markets to the Board as well as broad industry knowledge across financial services, technology, infrastructure and property. Prior executive roles include Managing Director and Equity Partner at Goldman Sachs JB Were.
Pippa currently serves on the boards of ALE Property Group and Australian Technology Innovators and is a Commissioner of Sport Australia. She holds a Masters in Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Science (Business Administration) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Women Corporate Directors.
John is a highly-experienced growth leader who brings marketing, digital and human resources skills to the Board. He is the Chairman of Foodco and Non-Executive Director of Stellar Group, General Pants Group and the Heart Research Institute.
Peter co-founded Zip in 2013, with 26 years of experience in the retail finance industry. He has underwritten 2m customers and $1b in loan receivables globally. An operations and consumer credit expert, Peter is also the responsible manager of Zip’s Australian Credit Licence.
Larry co founded Zip in 2013 overseeing the growth from a technology start-up to an ASX200 company with over 4 million customers globally. Previously, he spent 12 years in retail, technology and investment banking at Pacific Brands, Macquarie Capital and Deutsche Bank.
David is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in company secretarial, finance and accounting.
